Middle-Age Toreutics With Zoomorphous Motifs Of Decorating
The so-called zoomorphous images of decorating included the images of various animals for ornamenting different articles. They were found in Siberia dating from ancient time. In the Middle Ages the repertoire of these motifs was changed as well as the art approaches of their embodiment. Now they were replaced by mythological images known in the mythology of settled-peasant people: senmurves, winged lions etc. Our stand presents the patterns of Middle-Age toreutics with the popular pictures of animals, fish and birds.
